On April 5, the Church celebrated Palm Sunday, which marked the beginning of Holy Week, the final week of Lent as we wait in hope for Jesus’ resurrection on Saturday evening at the Easter Vigil. Contemplating on holy week, during this unprecedented time, brings back us to what is most important, human relationships. Jesus was all about relationships. He made unbreakable bonds the core of His ministry. Just hours before His crucifixion, Peter insisted emphatically, ‘Even if I have to die with you, I will never disown you.’ And all the others said the same” (Mark 14:31).
One of the greatest gifts of being part of the Chaminade family is that every member, both Catholic and non-Catholic alike, are essential to the makeup of our community. The distinctiveness of our Catholic, Marianist tradition calls all members of our Chaminade family to reflect on the nature of their religious identity and grow in their relationship with God in an environment that nurtures family spirit and love of neighbor. Please hold each other in prayer as one human family.
